OFCU Board Elections Notice
Each year three board of directors are up for election. Unlike other financial institutions, the nine-member board is elected by the membership. The three incumbents with expired terms are:
Ed Ervin– has served on our board 33 years since 1986 and currently serves as Chairman. He retired from the VA Medical Center, where he served for years as Chief Fiscal Officer.
Gary McVey- has served on the board 29 years since 1989 and is retired from the VA Medical Center, where he worked as a Supervisory General Engineer.
Glen Monehan - has served on the board for three years, since 2017. He retired from the VA Medical Center, where he worked in direct patient care after his years of military service.
Each of the board members has agreed to serve on the board another term at the will of the membership. Any member in good standing may submit their name for nomination by petition. The petition must be signed by at least 1% of the total membership (130 members) and accompanied by a written statement of qualifications, biographical data and a signed statement that he/she is willing to serve as a board member and that he/she understands the responsibility and liability associated with the position.
If you are interested in running for a board position, please see Mr. Mondy and receive a copy of the job description, rules, and regulations concerning duties and liabilities, as well as a questionnaire to complete. The deadline for nomination by petition is due February 24, 2020.
Should there be more candidates added, there will be a mail ballot election held in March 2020. The election results will be announced at the annual meeting.
