Cape Regional Credit Union is merging with Ozark Federal Credit Union to bring even more value to our members, now and in the future. By joining with Ozark Federal Credit Union, we're gaining access to expanded products and services, enhanced digital banking tools, and greater financial strength. This partnership also gives members more convenience, with additional branch locations throughout Southeast Missouri and extended support resources. Most importantly, both credit unions share the same member-first philosophy, so you’ll continue to receive the personalized service you know and trust—now backed by even more tools to help you thrive.
This merger brings meaningful, long-term benefits designed to improve your everyday financial life, not just behind-the-scenes changes, but real tools and support you can use right now and in the future.
Here’s how it benefits you:
1. More financial strength means more security.
When two credit unions come together, it’s not just about size—it’s about stability. By merging with Ozark Federal Credit Union, we’re joining forces with an institution that’s financially strong, federally insured, and deeply rooted in Missouri. This means more resources to invest in the services you rely on, and greater protection through economic shifts. It’s a partnership that helps ensure your credit union remains strong for decades to come.
2. Expanded services to meet your real-life needs.
This merger gives you access to a wider range of tools and services designed to fit your lifestyle, not just traditional banking, but digital tools and financial wellness support to help you move forward confidently:
Whether you’re paying down debt, saving for a major purchase, or just want better control of your money, these tools are here to make that easier.
3. More access to people who care.
You’re not losing your credit union—you’re gaining a larger team that’s just as committed to treating you like family. You’ll still see the same familiar faces at your local branch, and now you’ll also have access to six more locations throughout Southeast Missouri. Whether you’re shopping in Cape, visiting family in Poplar Bluff, or traveling through Dexter, there’s an Ozark Federal Credit Union branch nearby to support you.
4. A shared mission, centered on you.
This merger isn’t a buyout. It’s a collaboration between two like-minded credit unions that believe in putting members first. At the heart of this decision is a desire to do more for you, not by changing who we are, but by amplifying what we can offer. You’ll always be more than just an account number here. And now, you’ll have even more opportunities, services, and support to back you up.
Absolutely. Your deposits remain fully protected by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), just as they always have. Each individual account is insured up to $250,000, providing you with peace of mind that your funds are secure. We’re committed to keeping your financial safety our top priority.
